Written by done with joannes on February 10, 2012 from olathe, kansas, US prices are through through the roof. went in yesterday and and most fabric is now $9.99 a yard, a lot are $12.99....very few are $7.99 and even less of $6.99. I'm done with it and I use to spend A LOT of money with them. No more, they've lost me. I'll support my small local stores instead. |

Written by Joann's ex-employee on December 14, 2011 from st. louis, missouri, US actually, any additional fabric shipped to the store during a special order does go into the store's inventory. if the special order paper says you ordered 3 yards and they shipped, let's say, 4 yards, that extra yard is cut off because it is in the store's inventory and was not purchased by anyone. it happens quite often; a lot of the time it's multiple yards extra. do you honestly think if they were to ship 3 extra yards to the store it would be free to the customer who placed the order that didn't include the additional yardage? the inventory is by-the-inch in the computer, not by-the-yard just in case you were ever one to complain why the person who cut your fabric wouldn't give you 2 extra inches. 1 inch from multiple employees at multiple stores every day not accounted for can cause shrink and cost the company in the millions. |
